While the Ipad is generally meant to be a link in products from the Iphone to the Macbook Pro it has a vast number of functions that can be compared to that of the Macbook Pro. The Ipad is considred a tablet PC and offers the ease of touch screen technology and portability. The Mackbook Pro is considred a laptop PC and offers a bit power and fuctionality then the Ipad while still being reletivly portable.

Users of the Iphone may find that the Ipad offers much of the same features as the Ipad. The difference between the two being that the Ipad has a much larger view area. If you are looking for a gadget that offers some basic functions of a PC such as internet, e-mail, word processing, and some applications then the Ipad is perfect for you. The Macbook pro on the other hand is a fully functional PC with many more capabilities and infinitely more digital storage space. When designing the Ipad I think Apple leaned a bit too much towards the Iphone.

While the size of the Ipad is much more convenient to carry around then the Macbook Pro, users will notice a loss in power due to it’s smaller size. Being one of it’s major selling points, the size of the Ipad has been reported to have over heating issues when exposed to direct sunlight. Most major electronics are not meant to handle the heat of direct sunlight over extended periods of time however with something like the portability of the Ipad, designers should have taken this into consideration.

The Macbook Pro has been on the market for much longer then the Ipad. I am sure that the Macbook Pro had it’s share of quirks when it was first produced as well. If you are thinking of adding an Ipad to your gadget arsenal consider waiting till the second model comes out. This will give designers a good idea of what can be improved on and you won’t be wasting your money on a prototype model.

All in all I think at this point the Macbook Pro has my money. I personally own an Iphone and a laptop PC. I can’t think any reason why I would want anything in between. If the Ipad operated more on level with the Macbook Pro I could definitely see the attraction to this gadget’s portability perk. Before completely putting the Ipad out of mind I would like to see where Apple decides to go with it in the next few years.

There are many aspects to laptop computers that are important to consider, but no major feature brought forward by a pc has been as great as the superior construction of the Macbook Pro. In fact, the Macbook Pro Aluminum Casing is one of the most innovative things to come to home computing in nearly a decade. Apple has really outdone themselves with this unique style. It’s not just for looks either; this protective environment houses the interior computing powerhouse that comes standard with the Macbook pro.

Most computers have variable screws, and gaps in their construction. This creates not only a bulky laptop; it produces spots where normal use can really damage the interior. Furthermore, inferior design can really affect computing power. However, the Macbook Pro Aluminum Casing is carved out of a solid block of aluminum, and is slim at around 0.95-inches at its absolute thickest.

Consider that traditional laptop design is somewhat archaic. Unfortunately by adding multiple parts, you add weight, and complexity to the overall body of a computer that can really cause failure down the road. The more parts, the more opportunity for failure, and many pc users will attest to that. To create the latest Macbook Pro, designers and engineering teams eliminated additional parts, and made a seamless enclosure.

The Macbook Pro Aluminum Casing took many years of development. This construction method is not just a random solution for style. The computer’s overall design allows for a fundamentally thinner, robust, look and feel that you cannot find with other computers. No other computer company creates laptop solutions carved out of single blocks of hard, light aluminum. Furthermore, Apple has put their reputation on the line by showing off how the Macbook Pro is manufactured from start to finish. They machine each laptop one by one, and it is precisely made in a fanatical way so that the computer user gets a stylish machine that has the strength of the metal, and the careful thought process of the Apple brand.

By creating a solitary enclosure, the Macbook Pro offers a durability that not found with other computers. Whether a computer user is a bit harsh with their laptop, or extremely careful, users of the latest Macbook have noticed that the new enclosure really does add a level of support that is not traditionally seen with laptops. Just by putting the computer in the hands of a new user, lifting it, and working on it, a difference can be noted. This type of innovation is not common to the computer industry, and that’s a breath of fresh air. You’ll be hard pressed to find a problem with the solitary enclosure, as it is truly a durable, sleek, and well thought out method of construction.

Unibody Macbook Pro

The introduction of the newest line of Apple’s Macbook Pro wasn’t simply a giant leap in computer technology, it was also the advent of a new type of battery system. Unlike traditional laptop batteries, Macbook Pro batteries are not made to be replaced. The inherent problem with regular laptop batteries is that they simply weren’t made to be recharged over and over and its ability to completely recharge declines relatively quickly over time.

Macbook Pro batteries are different, very different. Made of lithium polymer rather than traditional lithium ion, these batteries are streamlined and reduce a laptop’s often bulky feel. A chip built into the battery monitors the amount of charge going in and going out and adjusts automatically. Unlike traditional batteries, which simply charge to capacity when plugged in, the Macbook Pro battery charges dynamically, reducing wear and tear on the battery and increasing battery life.

It makes economical and environmental sense to have batteries that last two to three times as long as traditional laptop batteries. Used batteries are discarded and become a part of the environmental waste that we are compelled to reduce. Macbook Pro batteries don’t just reduce that waste by up to 75%, they accept the old batteries and ensure they are disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.

Owning a Macbook Pro isn’t simply owning a computer that is fast, efficient, light and intuitive; its ownership of a piece of technology that comes with a conscience. Sure, you could spend less on a traditional laptop and fill landfills with more short-lived batteries but in the long run, aren’t you going to end up spending more on frequent battery replacements? With up to 1000 charges, the Macbook Pro is made to last and made to help the environment last too.

Here is a Video Review Of The New Unibody Macbook Pro being unboxed

I bought the newer version of the Apple MacBook Pro, in all it 13 inch screen awesomeness. For want of better words this is the most awesome piece of laptop technology in its price range.

I was a proud owner of the previous MacBook, but decided to go against my better judgment and feelings on upgrading from something I do not have a problem with. I don’t know, perhaps it was something to do with the shiny, sleek, slender looks that caught my attention towards the ‘MacPro’ as I like to call it.

I had a quick mess around with the shapely beauty, and I have to say I was gripped from the very first click of the keys. I don’t know how to explain it, it just had this air of sophistication and power about it.

A quick drive over to my bank and $1195.99 later I was in possession of my brand new MacBook 13”. I was kind of impressed with the price as I had acquired the last 17” Mac for $400 more.

I had obviously read a few reviews about the specs, and listened to the Apple lovers start trending towards the
new model. But that only got my interest up further, I mean one guy said he was trashing all his computers after taking one home. I thoroughly understand why!

Battery (What is this Ever-Life Duracell?) and Specs Briefly

Okay, you know how laptop batteries seem to always dispense at the most inconvenient of moments while on a commute home from work?

Nada not with the new MacBook Pro, the battery has a song written by the Bee Gee’s especially for it, ‘Staying Alive!’

I mean with all the power in the 160Gb Hard Drive, 2Gb Memory, built in iSight Camera, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, NVIDIA G-Force 9400M graphics card, WiFi built-in, Bluetooth, SD Card Slot and a whole shaboogal of little odds and ends, you want the battery to keep going. Gone however is the Express Slot but whom on earth uses one?

I figured as much when I found out what is basically the 17” MacBook battery flat-packed and slipped into a larger space internally. I knew there was a hidden secret; this is what is giving the MacBook Pro its extra life.
Working all this out and taking a nosy around the Internet the math suggests that on 200 charges per year, this battery won’t even be thinking about dying in 3 years. No trips to Rayovac for a replacement anytime soon then!

Overall I am more than impressed as you can tell, the MacOS is moving along nicely, the built in WiFi and Bluetooth check the boxes, and the video is swift, clear and houses some excellent HD properties.

If you ask me to trade for your laptop, you have not got a chance!
